 Sauvignon Blanc
Sauvignon Blanc, Creekside Estate 2008

This intensely refreshing wine showcases grapefruit, gooseberry, and starfruit with hints of lemongrass on the nose. A focused, intense palate driven by racy grapefruit acidity with grassy, lemon/lime flavours and a crisp mineral note on the finish. A phenomenal aperitif wine but also a great match for classic summer fare.

Cabernet VQA, Creekside Estate 2007

"Great price for the classically built Cabernet. Alluring notes of black raspberry, black currant, mocha and cigar box. Full-bodied but supple with a lovely finish."

2007 Pinot Noir Rose VQA
Pinot Noir Rose VQA, Creekside Estate 2007

This is deeply coloured pinot noir rose that captures correct if reserved pinot cran-cherry fruit, earthy and licorice notes. It's medium weight, a bit heavier than the average rose with a slightly spritzy feel, a touch of mid-palate sweetness then a tart and juicy finish.

2007 Butler's Grant Riesling
Butler's Grant Riesling, Creekside Estate 2008

The 2008 Butler's Grant Riesling showcases the unique terroir of the famed vineyard from the 20 Mile Bench appellation. The nose shows intense perfume and spice character of jasmine, ginger spice, pear and mango with hints of minerality. The palate is rich and full with a lacy stream of acidity running through, balancing a very subtle sweetness. Excellent finish.

2008 Estate Shiraz VQA
Estate Shiraz VQA, Creekside Estate 2007

"This 2007 Shiraz ranks as the best value Shiraz in the country. For the first time, there's generous plummy fruit and an appealing floral note to counter the typical black pepper and clove character of Creekside's entry-level Shiraz. As always, a bright acidity adds refreshment and vitality to the package. This has the stuffing to turn people's heads away from international examples. Excellent value."

2007 Laura Red
Laura Red, Creekside Estate 2007

An aromatic nose of ripe red berry, cedar, vanilla and a touch of smoke. The palate has layers of rich, generous fruit framed by oak notes of clove, mocha, spice, and cedar. Well structured with restrained body and balancing acidity. Extremely tasty now but will be at its best 2012 – 2014.

Reserve Riesling 'Close Plant' VQA, Creekside Estate 2007

"... a fragrant, forward and fuller bodied Riesling than usual, with interesting apricot, honey and spice notes. The earthy finish has a ginger ale note that is common to this vineyard."

2007 Reserve Pinot Gris VQA
Reserve Pinot Gris VQA, Creekside Estate 2007

This is a wonderfully exotic version of Gris. Barrel fermentation, partial wild yeast, and neutral oak add to the complexity and quirky flavours of the wine. The nose is intense, with lush, tropical notes of melon, peach and honey. The palate has fantastic structure, with a round creamy feel balanced by light acidity. This wine is great to drink now but will continue to age well for several years.

2007 Reserve Sauvignon Blanc
Reserve Sauvignon Blanc, Creekside Estate 2007

"Niagara Sauvignon Blanc is the new rock and roll. That certainly the sense you get from this exotic and electric model of Sauvignon Blanc from Creekside. There's a yin-yang effect to this engaging wine: bright, lively acidity contrasted by creamy, smoky pineapple notes and a nice spicy finish. Judicious use of oak imparts a real richness to th is stunning reserve white. Well-done."

2007 Reserve Chardonnay
Reserve Chardonnay, Creekside Estate 2007

This Reserve blend epitomizes Creekside's preference for a restrained, elegant style. Choosing to accentuate the structural focus offered by Niagara Chardonnay's natural crispness and acidity, specially selected lots of fruit underwent fermentation and ageing in French oak, with minimal lees stirring and the inhibition of malolactic fermentation. The result was a core profile of bright, fresh fruit, given added complexity by the depth and dimension gained by 10 months in barrel.

2007 Vidal Icewine
Vidal Icewine, Creekside Estate 2007

A wonderful level of complexity can be found in this Icewine. White tree fruit such as pear, apple and white peach dominate the nose, but hints of honeysuckle and caramel are also evident. The subtle creamy texture from barrel fermentation is balanced by refreshing citrus acidity and oak tannin adding structure to the palate. Flavours include concentrated peach, apple, pear and apricot with oak spice and crème brulé on the finish. A fine example of the balancing act of sweetness, crisp acidity and soft oak. Enjoy now or age for added complexity until 2014.
