INOX Chardonnay VQA, Peninsula Ridge 2008

On the nose, this semi-dry white reveals soft pineapple aromas with more subtle scents of coconut and lemon. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with a smooth creamy texture, and bright, balanced acidity. Finishes full with a rejuvenating citrus aftertaste and good length. Overall, a very nice wine well priced for everyday enjoyment.

Turkey, goat cheese, spicy pork, pan seared scallops and other shellfish, Quiche, Brie, and Camembert.

The 2008 Twisted is a blend of 59% Riesling, 21% Unoaked Chardonnay and 20% Gewurztraminer. The sweetness, minerality and citrus fruit are beautifully balanced in this hugely popular wine.

Domaine de l'Olivette Blanc Corbières AOC (Organic), Château De Caraguilhes 2009

Pale golden color with tints of green and shades of silver at the rim of the glass. A brilliant, lively and clear wine. Very expressive on the nose with notes of acacia and white peaches. Further lemon scents and a compelling flintiness emerge after aeration. Good concentration balanced by a clearly defined acidity. Fresh, youthful yet very present with a distinct flavour of white fruits and a savoury minerality on the palate.

"A Chardonnay-based blend with semillon and Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Gewurztraminer and Viognier. The 2006 Wildass has a lovely nose of fresh, ripe stone fruit, yellow flowers, white peach, yellow apple and really finely integrated wood. The addition of Viognier for the first time adds the attractive floral note. The palate is medium bodied and well balanced, with the characteristic creamy-leesy texture for which Stratus is known. Long, subtlely spiced finish. A really successful wine that is ready to enjoy now but will certainly continue to evolve over the next couple of years. A premium wine and a fabulous value."
