The nose has aromas of cherry-tobacco and blackberry, while the palate is complex: smoky, tobacco, blueberries, black raspberries, smooth with a long smoky-vanilla finish. Buy a half a dozen, this should evolve well over the next decade, and is a bargain at under $15."

Domaine de l'Olivette Blanc Corbières AOC (Organic), Château De Caraguilhes 2009

Pale golden color with tints of green and shades of silver at the rim of the glass. A brilliant, lively and clear wine. Very expressive on the nose with notes of acacia and white peaches. Further lemon scents and a compelling flintiness emerge after aeration. Good concentration balanced by a clearly defined acidity. Fresh, youthful yet very present with a distinct flavour of white fruits and a savoury minerality on the palate.

Pure, focused and energetic, with spicy citrus and green apple flavors underscored by smoky herbal and floral qualities. "Inky ruby. Exotically perfumed bouquet displays black raspberry, cherry compote, licorice and dark chocolate, plus a sexy floral overtone. Fresh, focused red and dark berry flavors are given depth by a note of bitter chocolate and framed by silky tannins. Finishes with very good clarity and mineral snap, with the black raspberry note repeating. Year in and out this is a superb value."

The wine has good ruby red colour and a fresh vibrant aroma of ripe red berry fruit. The flavour is well-structured and very pleasant with nice minerally sensations and soft, stylish tannins.

This medium to full-bodied Pinot Noir displays enticing cherry, plum and strawberry fruit flavors on the nose and palate complemented by nuances of spice, clove and herbs with a hint of toasty oak. Round, balanced and eminently drinkable.

"Medium pink color. Ripe raspberry and cherry aromas show good depth and are brightened by a subtle floral note. Round, fleshy and gently sweet, offering ripe red berry flavors and a kiss of talc-y minerals. Finishes with good breadth and sweet persistence. I'd serve this with grilled fish coated in herbs."
