Stratus Red, Stratus Vineyards 2006

"This is the best Stratus Red made yet, according to JL Groux, and I tend to agree. The 2005 has a classic, Bordeaux-like nose, with lovely, fragrant, red fruit, integrated barrel spice, light floral and cinnamon spice notes that really opens on aeration. Dry, medium body - crafted in a more old world style, elegant mold, with moderate + acid and surprisingly elegant tannins given the wine's tender age. This will nonetheless improve with time in the bottle, and show best 2010-2018."
