Bottle Per Case : 12 x 750 ml
Food Pairing : Cured Meat, Hard Cheese, Red Meat, Veal roasted
A creation of Ontario importer Nicholas Pearce in partnership with a French winemaker with 30 years experience in Washington, Rue Naujac is the street Pearce lived on while studying/working in France, and Bordeaux is the country's 33rd department, both of which gave the inspiration for the name and lot # of this wine.
Full-bodied and complex, offering aromas of plum, black currant, dark chocolate, and a hint of espresso. The mouthfeel is big with vanilla, cocoa, black cherry, and fine grain tannins leading into a fresh and balanced finish. This Merlot was aged for six months in barrels (30% new).
Pair with BBQ meats, rich stews or steak.
