Val do Salnés is known as the birthplace of the Albariño grape. Located on the Atlantic coast, it is the original and oldest sub-region of Rías Baixas with the most area under vine. The soil is granitic and rocky with alluvial top-soil. It is also the coolest sub-region. From a biodynamic vineyard.
Produced from vines averaging 30 years old, the 2019 Albarino is vibrant and fresh. Lovely floral aromas of ripe pear, apple, peach and melon with undertone of fine herbs and fennel. Good depth, balanced, and a persistent finish. A perfect sip with shellfish.
