Boca is a rare and precious wine produced in a very tiny area of Alto Piemonte, around the village of Boca, on the eastern side of the River Sesia.
"The 2010 Boca is one of the most powerful wines in this lineup. Bold, racy and expressive, but in a classic, mid-weight style, the 2010 delivers superb flavor intensity and exceptional balance. Vespolina and Uva Rara add multiple shades of nuance to the Nebbiolo-inflected flavors. Cranberry, orange peel, mint and dried flowers are all nicely delineated throughout. I especially like the sense of energy here. Vallana's 2010 Boca is a winner. And the price? Absurdly low for this level of quality. Firm tannins and a long finish suggest the 2010 will drink well for some time to come. This is a terrific showing."

"Silky and structured, this poised red opens with a delicate bouquet of rose, violet, woodland berry and a whiff of earthy underbrush. It's focused and vibrant, with notes of white pepper, graphite and rusted iron adding depth to the red-cherry and crushed-raspberry core. Elegant tannins and fresh acidity provide the framework. Drink 2018–2025."

This unique wine shows the most elegant nose, with spicy and fruity notes and a silky smooth palate, long and persistent.
