A 50:50 split of Wairau Valley and Awatere Valley fruit. Very solid, clean, ripe fruit requiring the lightest of touches in the winery. Wonderful, lifted, bright lime and passionfruit, with a light spicy character and a deep, tropical element all wrapped in a blanket of an almost creamy richness with a smoky passionfruit note.

Established in 1899, Barker's Marque Wines - a family-owned winery - has been producing exceptional wines for over a century. The founder of Barker's Marque Wines, John Barker, had a deep passion for winemaking, which led him to establish the winery in the heart of Australia's wine country. Over the years, the Barker family has continued to run the winery, passing down their love for winemaking from one generation to the next. Today, the winery is owned and operated by John Barker's great-grandson, James Barker. Under his guidance, the winery has expanded its vineyards and introduced new grape varieties to produce a wider range of wines.
The winery is located in the heart of the Barossa Valley, which is known for its ideal climate and rich soil. The region has a long history of winemaking, and its unique terroir has given rise to some of the world's most iconic wines.
