Producer : Albino Rocca
Region : Italy (Italy), Piedmont (Italy)
Bottle Per Case : 6 x 750 ml
"The 2011 Barbaresco Ronchi is deeply penetrating and beautiful with a bold framework of red fruit, spice, tar and licorice. Albino Rocca's wines are always distinctive (in part because of a unique oak regime that sees Austrian and German barrel) as they are elegant and compelling. This wine in particular awards a sense of fullness and completeness that is not as easy to find in the warm 2011 vintage. Drink: 2016-2028."

The Rocca family has been cultivating Nebbiolo for over a century. The company, Albino Rocca, was established in 1955 in one of the most prestigious regions of Piedmont. The first vintage of Barbaresco was produced under the Albino Rocca label in 1971.
Albino Rocca is composed of four vineyards, approximately eighteen hectares in total, all located in the historic Barbaresco DOCG. Their primary production is Nebbiolo but also includes a little Barbera, Dolcetto, Cortese, Chardonnay, and Moscato. The winery has the 'Green Experience' certification, employing viticultural methods that conserve natural resources and protect the landscape. The winery’s commitment to ecological protection is a defining principle of Albino Rocca.
Albino’s son, Angelo, began working in the winery at the age of fifteen and grew to become known as 'Barbaresco’s free thinker' determined to produce high-quality, terroir-driven wines.
