Producer : Cantine San Silvestro
Region : Italy (Italy), Piedmont (Italy)
Bottle Per Case : 12 x 750 ml
Food Pairing : Cured Meat, Hard Cheese, Red Meat, Roasted Vegetables
Good, deep ruby red colour with a persuasive nose, an intense perfume of damsons and chocolate. On the palate it has great concentration and intensity, especially on the mid-palate, with very ripe, smoky and plummy fruit and lovely balance between supple tannins and youthful acidity.

The Cantine San Silvestro is located in the Piemonte region in the community of Novello primarily producing Piedmontese red wines. The Sartirano family began their oenological activity in 1871, and today they combine tradition with modern techniques to produce superbly crafted vintage wines. The winery is run by cousins Paolo and Guido Sartirano and the wines of San Silvestro are sold throughout Italy and abroad.
In 1988, the Sartirano family acquired the Tenuta Arnulfo Costa di Bussia estate in the area of Monforte d’Alba and in 2002 they took over the Tenuta Ghercina estate, which includes vineyards in the villages of Barolo and Novello, where the headquarters of the company is now located.
