Tasting Notes

Vintage 2021 is all about power, freshness and elegance. Notes of blueberry, brambles and violet mix together with aromas of mint and black pepper. The palate is rich and velvety, characterized by refined tannins, a silky body and a pleasant, persistent spicy finish.

Fratelli Serio & Battista Borgogno

Since 1897 this family-run winery has produced legendary wines from their Cannubi vineyard. If Italy were to employ the same vineyard classification system as Burgundy, there is no arguing that Cannubi would be amongst the Grand Crus. Frankly, there is little argument that it would be the King amongst even that elite company of celebrated and famous vineyards. Today, the 5th generation (Emanuela and Federica) in this family wine company continue to make beautiful and authentic wines from their stellar vineyards throughout Langhe.
