"This red combines macerated cherry, strawberry, floral, licorice and sweet spice aromas and flavors with a civilized, well-integrated matrix of tannins. Tense and lively, with mineral and tobacco elements emerging on the long aftertaste."
93 Points - Wine Spectator, Oct 2019
"Serralunga d'Alba. Pale garnet. Vital, pure, revitalizing nose with understated fruit but real perfume...great structure and excitement. Beautifully readable. Tannins subordinate to fruit." - Jancis Robinson MW, Dec 2018

Tenuta Cucco traces its roots back to the 1960s when it first emerged as a winery. The name 'cucco' in the local dialect points to the elevated position of the original vineyard, nestled within the Cru Cerrati. Situated in the historic Barolo region, the vineyards of Tenuta Cucco occupy the oldest section of this ancient territory. This location boasts an optimal altitude of around 420 meters above sea level, providing the perfect conditions for the Nebbiolo grapes to mature, accentuating their tannins, and ensuring an ideal temperature range crucial for grape ripening.
Serralunga d’Alba, where the estate resides, ranks among the highest municipalities within the Barolo appellation, further enhancing its advantageous position. Spanning across 13 hectares, the vineyards of Tenuta Cucco host a diverse array of grape varieties, with Nebbiolo taking the lead, accompanied by Dolcetto, Chardonnay, and Barbera.
Production levels fluctuate annually, typically yielding around 70,000 bottles, with Barolo claiming the lion's share, sourced from Menzione Cerrati, Bricco Voghera, and Vigna Cucco. The vineyard's age ranges from 15 to over 50 years, with a deliberate focus on low yields to uphold exceptional product quality.
