"Combining structure and elegance, this compelling wine opens with lovely aromas of crushed mint, iris, wild berries and dark spice. It's young but already delicious, featuring juicy Morello cherry, raspberry compote, star anise and ground clove set against firm, fine-grained tannins."

"Located at 350-400 metres above sea level, facing south/southwest, the soil here is of sedimentary marine origin with a high content of greyish-white calcareous marl. Restrained wild strawberry fruit is wrapped up in an elegant bouquet of violet and rose, while on the palate blood orange notes lead to a long finish of liquorice root and wild herbs. This Lazzarito shows all of its potential thanks to its great intensity and depth, lively fruit, and refined, lavish tannins - yet it's delicate and lifted despite the structure."
