"Iris, rose, botanical herb and dark spice aromas lead the way in this fragrant red, along with an enticing whiff of graphite. Elegantly structured and boasting youthful tension, the vibrant palate delivers juicy Morello cherry, crushed raspberry, cinnamon and star anise framed in taut, refined tannins. It's balanced and focused, with bright acidity."

Renato Ratti

'I have entered the world of winemaking having no family tradition to show. I feel this explanation is very important: it allowed me to approach Barolo without pride or prejudice, but with untamed freedom.' - Renato Ratti 1985

It is one of the most important, unique wineries in Piedmont. Renato Ratti was one of the most merited people in the history of the region, known for creating and promoting the Barolo designation. Renato Ratti was fond of saying that he takes on challenges in order to lead others in new directions. The vineyard is famous for the Barbera, Nebbiolo and Dolcetto varieties, used to make the highest-quality wines. Currently, the wineries are managed by the founder’s son, Pietro Ratti, who in 2018 was nominated for the Winemaker of the Year title by the Wine Enthusiast.
