Tasting Notes

Enzo Boglietti established his winery in 1991 in the heart of La Morra after growing up farming grapes, tending dairy cows and making fine cheeses with his father.
Since then his holdings have grown to include 50 acres of single vineyard sites scattered across the Langhe.
Enzo might well be the most open minded, progressive grower/vintner you’ll come across in Piemonte – Visit his winery during harvest and you will find new experiments around each corner, with carefully marked lots bubbling away in every vessel imaginable, from botti, to foudre, to concrete egg, to barrique.

What's in this Mixed 6-Pack:

3 x 750 mL Barolo Arione by Enzo Boglietti 2019
3 x 750 mL Barolo Fossati by Enzo Boglietti 2019

Barolo Arione by Enzo Boglietti 2019
Very subtle and takes its time to reveal red fruit, tar and spice. Intense palate of fruit and spice with finely grained tannins. A superb expression of Barolo; complex and elegant.

Barolo Fossati by Enzo Boglietti 2019
Intense and youthful bouquet of dark fruit, with underlying floral notes, pungent spice and iodine. Juicy, with racy tannins that make it weighty on the palate and confer a fine and long aftertaste. The clay, silty soil with little organic matter gives the backbone while the old vines are responsible for the ethereal aromas.

99 Points - Luca Gardini

The Producer

Enzo Boglietti

Azienda Agricola Enzo Boglietti is a family run winery that produces wines with grapes coming exclusively from ha 22 of vineyards of property. The winery is located in La Morra, while the vineyards are scattered amongst La Morra, Barolo, Monforte, Serralunga d’Alba, Roddino and Sinio. Enzo Boglietti is among the most exciting rising stars producer we have ever tasted in Piedmont. Ironically, this moniker tends to distract from the fact that Enzo, and his brother Gianni are long-term growers and firm believers that hard work in the vineyard and attention to detail, not fashion, is what makes great wine.
