Tasting Notes

Pujado Solano selects the finest white tuna, Thunnus alalunga, in the Cantabric Sea (Spain) using the age-old and sustainable art of "rod and line" between September and October. This technique of selective fishing (which also avoids unwanted fish being discarded) respects the environment and protects marine reserves. Their production is very traditional and therefore limited. Pujado Solano preserves are made with fresh fish, not frozen. Gluten-free

The origins of Pujadó Solano trace back to the vibrant era of the 1980s. Milagros Solano, a proud Cantabrian hailing from the picturesque town of Santoña, renowned as the anchovy haven, embarked on a visionary journey. Born into a seafaring family well-versed in the art of salting anchovies, Milagros, fueled by her entrepreneurial spirit, joined forces with her unwaveringly supportive husband, Alfons Pujadó, to establish the company in the bustling city of Barcelona in the year 1984.

Milagros' aspiration to bring the flavours of her hometown to a broader audience soon blossomed into reality. In the blink of an eye, her entrepreneurial dream not only took root but also flourished into a thriving venture. The synergy between her familial anchovy heritage, the bustling city atmosphere of Barcelona, and the steadfast support of Alfons Pujadó laid the foundation for the success that Pujadó Solano enjoys today.
