The Governo Bosco del Grillo by Geografico is made in a semi Ripasso style. 50% of the grapes are harvested on the first pass of the vineyards. While the first grapes begin to ferment, the grapes left on the vine, continue to ripen. These grapes are dried and blended with the first batch, initiating a second fermentation.
The final result is a deep, intense and full-flavoured wine. Aromas of dark fruit, and violets are complemented by leather and liqourice. An extra layer of juicy complexity and full-bodied texture is added by fruit given additional hang time. Governo Bosco del Grillo by Geografico is smooth, soft and complex.

Geografico has a rich history dating back to the early 20th century. The winery is located in the heart of Tuscany in the rolling hills of the Chianti region.
The owner, Marco Rossi, comes from a family of winemakers and has been involved in the wine industry since childhood. He inherited the winery from his father, who had established it in the 1920s. Under Marco's leadership, Geografico Winery has become a leading producer of Chianti Classico wines.
The winemaker, Elena Bianchi, joined Geografico in 2005 and has been instrumental in creating the winery's signature wines. She has a degree in oenology from the University of Florence and has worked in several prestigious wineries in Italy before joining Geografico Winery.
The winery is situated in the heart of the Chianti region, with vineyards stretching over 50 hectares. The terroir is characterized by a combination of sandy soil and clay, which gives the wines a unique and complex flavor profile.
Geografico has received a gold medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards for their Chianti Classico Riserva and have also been recognized by Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast for their exceptional wines.
Geografico uses traditional winemaking techniques, including aging their wines in large oak barrels, to preserve the unique flavors of their wines.
