Tasting Notes
A great food-friendly Tuscan red made from Sangiovese and softened with the addition of 20% Merlot. Ten months in oak adds some spicy complexity. This wine opens with a unique blackberry like bouquet with scents of licorice blended in. On the palate, it’s is medium bodied, smooth and soft, with juicy black current flavors nicely integrated tobacco and cedar. The finish is quite dry with noticeable tannins that are nicely extended. Drink now and over the next 4 years.
