"The 2015 La Magia ‘Ciliegio’ Brunello di Montalcino opens to an austere and complex sensory profile, as stunning aromatics lift from the glass with notes of red hibiscus flowers, jasmine flowers, agapanthus and blue plums. It is enriched with thyme and marjoram which give this wine a certain Mediterranean character. On the palate this is full-bodied, and beautifully balanced, structured with sweet tannins which frame the impeccable fruit quality on the finish. This is sensational now, but should become even more impressive as it evolves over the next few years."

Fattoria la Magia is a small, ancient Montalcino property situated on an old paved Roman road dating back to the Etruscan era. Owned by the Swartz family for 40 years, the estate covers 15 hectares of land which are entirely planted to organically farmed Sangiovese vines.
