We are starting strong with the 2017 range from Domaine Bachelet-Monnot. Marc and Andre Bachelet have become the most exciting new white producer in the last 15 years. They make breathtakingly layered, racy, and achingly long white wines from the finest parcels of Puligny, Meursault and Chassagne. And stunning reds from Maranges and Santenay. Their reductive style leads to wines that drink beautifully with air upon release, but age gracefully.

"Everyone is on the lookout for Burgundy’s next wine star and brothers Marc and Alexandre Bachelet, who created this property in 2005 from their father’s and uncle’s land, are quietly making a solid claim. Their low-key winery is in Dezizelès-Maranges, at the southern tip of the Côte de Beaune, but their vineyards represent a great cross-section of Puligny, Chassagne and Meursault. They create structure-minded wines with lots of air for the juice, fermenting in larger barrels, finishing in steel. The wines have both character and precision, which is evident even in their village-level Puligny." - Jon Bonné, Punch Magazine

"The 2017 vintage was a definite success for Domaine Bachelet-Monnot, where brothers Marc and Alexandre Bachelet continue to gradually refine their approach, building on their already considerable success. While the obvious collectibles in the portfolio are the Bâtard, Folatières and Referts, readers shouldn’t neglect the terrific quality for a modest tariff offered by the domaine’s Maranges and Santenay bottlings." - William Kelley, Wine Advocate
