Scotto Cellars are 5th generation family owned winemakers with a history dating back to 1883. Their family traces the winemaking history back to the 1880s when their great, great grandfather Salvatore Scotto was, an officer in the Italian Navy on the island of Ischia, off the coast of Italy. At that time, he made wine only for his family, friends and neighbours which is a family motto that is carried on today with Anthony Scotto III running the business alongside his brothers and sister as the 5th generation vintners building a family wine business for future generations. Today, they are the 43rd largest winery in the US with wineries located in Napa, Lodi and the Sierra Foothills of Amador County.
