Silver Ghost is a full-bodied, rich and expressive Cabernet Sauvignon crafted from some of the finest vineyards in the Napa Valley. Deep in color, aromas of blueberry, crème de cassis and plum leap from the glass. On the palate Silver Ghost offers layers of red and black fruit intermingled with mocha, toast and a savory spice. The luxurious texture and depth continue through the long finish.

The Producer

Silver Ghost Cellars

Silver Ghost founder Weston Eidson’s great-grandfather, John Montagu, was an automobile pioneer at the turn of the last century. Being a British Lord and in Parliament, he was instrumental in much of the early automotive legislation and even gave the future Edward VII his first car ride. He was friends with Charles Rolls and Henry Royce, and his secretary served as the model for the Rolls-Royce hood ornament, the Spirit of Ecstasy, which we still see on Rolls-Royce cars today. Silver Ghost derives its name from John Montagu’s favorite car, the 1909 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost. And like its name, the wine itself is filled with layers of richness, culture and authenticity. For as long as he can remember, Weston Eidson has possessed an entrepreneurial spirit and an appreciation for fine wine’s ability to enhance any celebration or family get-together. While attending graduate school in the UK, he traveled the globe visiting wine regions from Chile and South Africa to Bordeaux, Alsace and the Veneto. Weston’s journey eventually took him to the Napa Valley where he met Jason Moore of Modus Operandi. Under Moore’s guidance, Weston worked the 2012 harvest and quickly garnered invaluable winemaking skills. Weston has since learned from mentor Russell Bevan and developed a conviction for making wine that is richly layered, complex and balanced. With the proper experience and a dedication to making wine with minimal intervention, Weston’s vision of Silver Ghost came to fruition.
