"Here’s a solid, sturdy, generous and authentic cabernet from a great site in Paso Robles that is less coastal and warm, but not too warm either. A tiny, almost-perfect window to ripen cabernet while not making the wines too soupy and hot. It is full-bodied, quite dense and ripe with lifted blackcurrant, violet, soft eucalyptus and generous wood spice. It is a bit hottish, but the flavour intensity and length are excellent. A big wine to be enjoyed in big, beefy moments."

Enriched by fossilized limestone accumulated over countless marine epochs, JUSTIN's soil is perfectly suited for producing robust, Bordeaux-style red wines. The limestone imparts stress to the vines, resulting in grapes that authentically showcase their varietal characteristics.
Paso Robles boasts a unique microclimate characterized by the most extensive day-night temperature variations among California's grape-growing regions. The warm days facilitate the development of intense flavors in the grapes, while the cool nights contribute to exceptional structure and balance.
Having garnered acclaim for crafting award-winning wines in Napa Valley for 13 vintages, JUSTIN Winemaker Scott Shirley embraced the challenge of a completely new appellation: Paso Robles.
