Producer : Luigi Righetti
Region : Italy (Italy), Veneto (Italy)
Bottle Per Case : 12 x 750 ml
It has pleasant strawberry, cherry and plum aromas with hints of leather, autumn leaves and asian spice. The palate is vibrantly fruity and lightly tannic. Campolieti means "happy fields" and refers to the vineyards from which the grapes are harvested. The wine is a traditional blend of the Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grape varietals that has had a second fermentation on the pressings of the Amarone grapes (a process called "ripasso"). After the second fermentation the wine is aged for one year, partly in French barriques and partly in 20hl oak barrels.
