"The young vine bottling from Il Carnasciale is a beautiful wine in the 2020 vintage, coming in at 13.5 percent octane and offering up a pure and refined bouquet of red and black cherries, Cuban cigar wrapper, fresh oregano, a lovely base of dark soil tones, coffee bean, woodsmoke and a deft framing of cedary new oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, focused and complex, with fine depth at the core, tangy acids, lovely balance and a long, poised and ripely tannic finish. Though this has fine structure to age, it will not take a tremendously long time to start to drink with distinction. 2028-2065+."
