    The 2013 Tawse Chardonnay is a blend from carefully sourced hand-harvested fruit from select vineyards of the Niagara Peninsula. As such, this balanced wine is a wonderful expression of both terroir and vintage as well as a great value! Perfectly balanced, it is a very versatile and food-friendly wine. Aromas of tropical fruit, cantaloupe, citrus and a hint of oak spice are expressive on the nose and continue through to the palate.

    "Still quite tightly wound, Tawse's 2013 Estate Chardonnay is on the firmer side, still quite tacky and almost astringent on the palate with sulphur still noted - this, I suppose, was built for the long term. The estate blend mixes the opulence of the Robyn's and David's Block vineyards with the piercing minerality of the Quarry Road without reaching the extremes of any, as one would expect an "estate" chardonnay to be-representative of the house philosophy.     "I loved the wild character of the young, unoaked 2017 Señorío de P. Peciña Cosecha, mostly Tempranillo with some 3% Garnacha and 2% Graciano fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts. It had a light maceration and extraction and was kept in tank for two months before bottling. It has a raw and savage nose, mixing raspberry leaf and earthy aromas, full of character with elegant rusticity. It's juicy and chewy, as pure as it gets. I'd love to see this wine in a couple of years. 60,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in December 2017."

    Produced using the Tradtional Method of sparkling wine production, and aged for at least 15 months on lees, making this a Reserva Cava. Brilliant yellow colour with green reflections. Fine, persistent bubbles forming continuous beads. On the nose, it displays citrusy and tropical fruit notes along with more complex aging aromas (toast & brioche) that enrich the range of aromas. On the palate, it is creamy, wide and long-lasting. The result is a highly versatile wine, pairable with a great variety of food.

    "Very elegant on the nose, there is just some brioche, almondine and grilled pineapple. The palate has a greater concentration of flavor, its lively bubbles driving roasted apple, buttered biscuit and underripe red plum. The long finish is pleasing."
