Tasting Notes

The 2019 Bachelier Chablis is a lovely, pale yellow color with white gold reflections. Fine, elegant aromas of fresh white and citrus fruits combine with white flowers for a pleasing first approach. The palate is fresh, lively and balanced. Citrus fruits are prominent, which lend to its good length and round finish.

Domaine Bachelier

Domaine Bachelier is a very small estate founded in 1883, set among the gently sloping hills near Maligny, which lies in the centre of the Chablis. Here, the Bachelier family makes traditional, un-oaked Chablis that aptly reflects the classic style of the appellation and the chalky terroir of Maligny. This means a bright, shimmering green-gold wine that embodies an ethereal fragrance, a mouthful of racy, flinty flavours, and a very crisp finish.
