"TThe 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Les Carrières 1er Cru has a backward, almost surly bouquet at the moment, featuring dark berry fruit, hints of licorice and cedar notes. The medium-bodied palate offers sappy red fruit, quite succulent and fleshy, with blueberry, black currant and a light sprinkling of white pepper on the finish. Good persistence here. Impressive. "
