"Mid but deep cherry red. Lifted and sweet dark-red and black fruit – a mix of cherry and blackberry – with a slight smokiness that might be a touch of reduction or perhaps just the Syrah. Lovely fruit with just a touch of pepper. Vibrant and juicy on the palate, this is not complex but it is a terrific mouthful of fruit and freshness. Light but sufficient tannins. Very good value and surprisingly persistent."
