This ripe and creamy wine offers a good depth of flavor. It has plenty of fresh apple flavors, although the dominant fruits are riper, richer and tangy with orange zest and apricots. To balance all this fruit, the texture is tight with a good streak of minerality to give a crisp aftertaste.

Lelarge-Pugeot
Champagne Lelarge-Pugeot has its roots traced back to 1799, operating as an eighth-generation winery situated in the Premier Cru village of Vrigny on the picturesque slopes of the Montagne de Reims. This is a true family venture, spearheaded by parents Dominique Lelarge and Dominique Pugeot, alongside their children, Clémence and Valentin.
Starting in 2000, Dominique made a pivotal decision to discontinue the use of chemicals. Over the subsequent two decades, the winery underwent a transformation into a biodynamic poly-farm that rejects the practice of mono-cropping. Instead, they champion a biodiverse approach, employing permaculture and introducing cover crops between rows. The vineyard also features interspersed plantings of various fruits, including peach, apple, cherry, plum, and almond trees. The distinctive character of their Champagnes is cultivated right in the vineyard.
The family manages 8.7 hectares of vineyards, with a significant portion dedicated to Pinot Meunier, a specialty of Vrigny in the Montagne de Reims, which is traditionally dominated by Pinot Noir. Dominique's vineyards face north, providing protection against the impacts of global warming. This orientation maintains a classical profile characterized by textured acidity and rich phenolic density.
Lelarge-Pugeot obtained organic certification in 2014 and Demeter-certified biodynamic status in 2017. They cultivate 42 distinct parcels of Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay at elevations around 400 ft, with 4.4 hectares of Meunier, 1.5 hectares of Chardonnay, and 2.8 hectares of Pinot Noir.
