Patrick Soutiran Champagne Estate sits almost midway between Reims, renowned for its historic coronations, and Epernay, home to some of Champagne's most esteemed houses. With a lineage of vine cultivation spanning generations, the estate is now overseen by Estelle and Fabrice, artisanal winemakers who deeply honour tradition.
Nestled on the sun-kissed slopes of Montagne de Reims, Ambonnay village holds the esteemed title of ‘Grand Cru’. The estate's soil, abundant in chalk and magnesium, provides the perfect terroir for cultivating Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes across its 3-hectare vineyard. Committed to sustainable practices, the team has collaborated for over two decades with fellow growers to deploy pheromone diffusers, disrupting butterfly mating patterns without resorting to harmful insecticides.
Driven by a pursuit of excellence and fidelity to time-honoured techniques, the team fervently champions the diversity and richness of Champagne. Rejecting mass production in favour of preserving individuality, they view Champagne-making as a sacred tradition.
To craft wines of depth and complexity, they employ traditional methods and age their wines in Burgundy oak barrels or stainless steel vats, ensuring the essence of the land is retained, resulting in distinguished and aromatic wines of unparalleled quality.
It's important to remember that taste is subjective, and personal preferences play a significant role.
