Tasting Notes

A beautiful opulent gold, on the nose biscuity yet fresh and vibrant. On the palate well balanced, with freshness coming through despite the age. The small dosage makes for a well-structured wine.

The Producer

Michel Gonet

Michel Gonet is an undercover Côte de Blancs superstar that predates most Champagne Houses. They arrived in the region during the 15th century and founded their estate in 1802 (long before Krug or Pierre Peters).

Winemaker Sophie Gonet has enlisted the help of world famous Sommelier Marco Pelletier, and has become so close to Jean-Marc Roulot that he now provides his barrels for them to use for aging. They, like us cannot believe the quality level of these wines given the price, and are committed to making them a household name just like their neighbours.
