The French oak barrel, combined with its sharp acidity and unmatched elegance, evokes Burgundy.
The Katsaros family has been making wines based on classic French standards since the early 1980s. Dimitris Katsaros, the winery’s founder, handed over the reins to his son, Euripides, in 2007. Since then, the estate has continued its brilliant course, with its wines earning not only distinctions but also an ever-growing fan base.
Ktima Katsaros Chardonnay is one of Greece’s most sought-after white wines, selling out just a few months after its release each year. The reason? Its balance, typicity, and finesse! The vineyards are located at an altitude of 530 - 640 meters, resulting in a wine with crisp, lemony acidity. Aging in selected French oak barrels for 5-6 months adds body, texture, and complexity. The result is a rich, buttery, and well-balanced Chardonnay with outstanding aging potential.
