"This wine shows how well Fronsac can do in 2018, and it's a value pick of the vintage. There's so much volume through the palate here, it's extremely juicy with great concentration and an explosion of damson and black cherry fruit, given definition by slate on the finish that speaks of the limestone soils. Truly a brilliant testament to Patrick Leon, as this was his last vintage, but don't think this score is sentimentality - the wine deserves it."
