"The 2015 Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande is medium to deep garnet colored. It is seriously shut down on the nose at this stage, needing a lot of coaxing to reveal notes of crushed blackcurrants, Morello cherries, juicy black plums, and forest floor, plus hints of lilacs and crushed rocks. The medium-bodied palate is so tightly wound still, featuring layer upon layer of black fruits and mineral accents, supported by firm, fine-grained tannins and seamless freshness, finishing very long and achingly fragrant."
