Tasting Notes
"Dried nutmeg, cinnamon, dried herbs, redcurrants, cherry cake and lots of cedar and mahogany. Plenty of richness on the palate, which shows layers of dried red fruit, ripe tannins and a fruit-forward finish. There is also a dash of acidity at the end to freshen things up."

The Producer
Castello della Paneretta
The Castello della Paneretta winery is situated in the Chianti Classico area on the western slopes of the Elsa valley, looking towards San Gimignano. In 1577 Ludovico Capponi restored the castle and commissioned Bernardino Poccetti, important painter, to fresco the loggia of the court. Production of wine is documented from 1596. Today the tradition is preserved exclusively growing tuscan grape varieties used to produce high quality wines.
