This organically produced Chianti Classico has classic black cherry and tapenade aromas, and bags of character. It's got a lovely ruby red colour, with light garnet hues. On the nose it has aromas of red and black fruits and spice. Then the best bit, on the palate it has velvety tannins, and lovely supple weight to it, not too big, just right. This well balanced, very drinkable, Chianti is a testament to good ingredients and good winemaking.

San Fabiano Calcinaia winery is nestled in the picturesque hills of the Chianti countryside, spanning 165 hectares. It comprises two distinct areas: the first, located in Poggibonsi, houses the offices, winery, and a significant portion of the vineyards. The second, situated in Castellina in Chianti, includes the agritourism facility and 25% of the remaining vineyards.
Guido Serio and his wife, Isa, the proprietors, arrived at San Fabiano in 1983. They promptly invested in revitalizing vineyards, upgrading wine and aging cellars, and assembling a skilled and motivated team. Presently, San Fabiano Calcinaia produces high-quality wines sourced exclusively from their vineyards, garnering recognition and admiration worldwide.
The transition to organic farming, initiated in 2009 and encompassing the entire production process, represents the culmination of a corporate decision that aligns quality with sustainable production practices.
