Tasting Notes

"The 2016 Chianti Colli Fiorentini Riserva La Toretta is a classy, polished wine. Light on its feet, silky and perfumed, the 2016 has so much to offer. Succulent dark cherry, mint, lavender, spice and licorice show off the slightly darker side of Sangiovese. Sweet floral and spice notes add lift and nuance to this classy, super-expressive Chianti."

The Producer

La Querce

LA QUERCE AZIENDA AGRICOLA stands in the heart of the production area of Chianti Colli Fiorentini. The farm is located in Impruneta and enjoys a total of 42 hectares. Here, vineyards and olive groves are cultivated between tradition and innovation. Located on the beautiful hill overlooking Impruneta. It is located in the heart of the production area of Chianti Colli Fiorentini. It has a total extension of forty-two hectares where vineyards and olive groves are grown, from which the main products of our land are harvested: grapes and olives.

The terrain is of a medium-sized clay-like structure, which allows the company to always have water reserves in the soil. Most of the land is facing south, in the vast Sorrettole valley. This allows you to have good exposure to the sun and light breezes during the harvesting period.

The vineyards stretch for about eight hectares and are mostly turned south. In recent years, almost all of them have been replanted with both traditional Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Colorino vineyards, as well as with Merlot, all cultivated with spurred cordon.
