"A solid red with aromas of dark cherries, dark berries, dried beef, herbs and lots of spices. Medium- to full-bodied with fine, firm tannins. Precise with a bright core of forest berries and a flavorful finish. Cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, merlot, syrah, grenache noir, carignan and caladoc. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification."

Ever since working on the winery with his father in the mid-70's, from his young age, Gérard Bertrand knew that he would be a winemaker and would perpetuate the passion for wine as well as his father’s pioneer spirit. In 1992, he created the wine company Gérard Bertrand which later buys Domaine de Cigalus, Château Laville Bertrou and Domaine de l’Aigle and became known as the renowned winemaker who saved Languedoc.

With 16 estates located on the most remarkable terroirs of the South of France, Gérard Bertrand is the Ambassador of the Great Wines of Languedoc throughout the world.
