"From two neighbouring plots in Petit Maupertuis. Dark purple all the way through. Powerful, brooding but balanced. I was expecting the usual ungiving Clos Vougeot style but then the fruit explodes on the mouth, this is really singing. Just the right tannins, light acidity, ripe but perfectly judged. An excellent Clos Vougeot, with character! Tasted: November 2021."
