"Inky black colored, the 2013 Côtes du Roussillon Villages L'Aragone is a smoking blend of 60% Carignan (from 80-year-old vines) and 40% Grenache that was brought up all in concrete tank. It has serious decadence and richness to go with lots of plum, blueberry, violets and licorice aromatics, full-bodied depth and plenty of underlying tannic grip. Made in a ripe, pedal-to-the-metal style, I suspect this will shed some baby fat by the time it hits a bottle, and it should have upward of a decade of overall longevity. There's a scant 2,500 bottles out there, and at the price, it's a steal."
