‘La Part des Vivants’: means the wine left for us to drink after the angel’s share evaporate. This rare Northern Rhone Cotes du Rhone is made mostly of Syrah, coming from Ampuis area not far from the Cote-Rotie vineyards. The Grenache and the Mourvedre comes from declassified Cru Cairanne and Rasteu. Medium bodied, with beautiful fleshy texture filled with pure ripe black berries. Balanced, with good acidity, spice again on the palate and a saline fresh finish. Darker and spicier than most Cotes du Rhone from the Southern Rhone, this wine is unique.
