From the one-hectare plot of Liste Cru in Barolo, it is fermented in oak casks before being rested in stainless steel to preserve its original flavors. You might remember Le Liste as the vineyard behind Giacomo Borgogno’s rare “Riserva Storico” bottling. Liste is just north of Cannubi –the very next hill in fact—between Cannubi and Brunate to be precise. With its elegant, deep ruby red, to the nose its perfume is about cherry, blueberry and mint. Balanced, with good depth and persistence. Perfect match with hot appetizers, stuffed pastas, delicate meat.
