From the one-hectare plot of Liste Cru in Barolo, it is fermented in oak casks before being rested in stainless steel to preserve its original flavors. You might remember Le Liste as the vineyard behind Giacomo Borgogno’s rare “Riserva Storico” bottling. Liste is just north of Cannubi –the very next hill in fact—between Cannubi and Brunate to be precise. With its elegant, deep ruby red, to the nose its perfume is about cherry, blueberry and mint. Balanced, with good depth and persistence. Perfect match  with hot appetizers, stuffed pastas, delicate meat.

About Fratelli Serio & Battista Borgogno

Our Barolo wine has been produced by our family since five generations, in the heart of the Cannubi area. Every day we grow our grapes with love, protecting our ancient craft, the one of wine-making, based on deep roots, handed down from generation to generation. Since 1897 our winery has been located on the top of Cannubi and all surrounded by our vineyards. Our roots date back even further when, in the mid-nineteenth century, the Cavalier Francesco Borgogno began producing his own wine, selling it in the small tavern of his wife in Barolo. At the time of his death, he left the family house and cellar to Lodovico Borgogno. At that time these were located in the historical centre of Barolo. In that house, Lodovico Borgogno passed on to his sons Serio and Battista the art of wine-making and the deep love for his land. At his death Serio and Battista Borgogno inherited some land and a small farmhouse in Cannubi. With immense effort and hard work they managed to turn a dream into reality: building their house and their winery on top of Cannubi, buying more vineyards all around for a total of 3 ha, in the heart of Cannubi. With foresight Serio and Battista were able to grasp the great potential of a place that is now known worldwide and is considered one of the best cru in Barolo.
