"This charming, delicate Pinot Noir impresses. The wine has an aromatic nose of dried black cherry, black plum, olive tapenade, smoked meats and a blend of black tea and hibiscus. Svelte black fruit meets well-integrated tannins on the palate, along with dried oak, a hint of tar and worn-leather belt."

Gérard Bertrand

Ever since working on the winery with his father in the mid-70's, from his young age, Gérard Bertrand knew that he would be a winemaker and would perpetuate the passion for wine as well as his father’s pioneer spirit. In 1992, he created the wine company Gérard Bertrand which later buys Domaine de Cigalus, Château Laville Bertrou and Domaine de l’Aigle and became known as the renowned winemaker who saved Languedoc.

With 16 estates located on the most remarkable terroirs of the South of France, Gérard Bertrand is the Ambassador of the Great Wines of Languedoc throughout the world.
