Tasting Notes
A blend of the three classic varieties from the Douro: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz. Aged on its fine lies, in 100% French oak barrels (30 % new), no filtration, natural clarification, gravity flow is used for racking. Dark red. Explosive nose combines spicy red berries, candied plum, fresh and dried flowers, pipe tobacco and bitter chocolate. A silky-smooth midweight with powerful, pungent, expansive red and dark fruit flavors. The fruit builds and even grows sweeter toward the back, finishing with some gently spicy notes of flowers and cinnamon.
