The Producer

Quinta Seara d'Ordens

Quinta Seara d’Ordens has been in existence since the late 18th century and is situated in the heart of the Douro, just 9 kilometers from Peso da Régua. In the early 1960s, João Leite Moreira, the Estate's owner, initiated a robust modernization effort that was later completed by his three sons: António, José, and Fernando.

In 1988, under their father's encouragement, the three brothers established the Sociedade Agrícola Quinta Seara d’Ordens, fully embracing the entire project. Four years later, they commenced trading wines under their own brand (1992). Today, boasting a 60-hectare expanse and a winemaking tradition spanning a century, the Estate enjoys a privileged location on a half-slope with a southwest exposure, creating ideal conditions for the cultivation of high-quality grapes.
