"Delicate scents of red berry, blue flower and crushed stone lift out of the glass. The vibrant, elegantly structured palate offers succulent wild cherry, fleshy black raspberry, cinnamon and light baking spice alongside fresh acidity and smooth, supple tannins. A mineral vein gives it precision and intensity."

Tenuta di Fessina is a relatively new winery, first established in 2007 by Silvia Maestrelli. Just after 13 years, she is now considered one of the most successful producers of the Etna area and a pioneer in the world of modern Sicilian viticulture. She is, no doubt, the heart and femininity of her wines.
Why are these wines getting so much buzz? Volcanic soils account for only 1 percent of the world’s surface but contribute a much larger percentage of the world’s great vineyards.
Ash-enriched soil is also responsible for smoky, earthy reds born in the shadow of Sicily’s Mount Etna; they have captivated adventurous wine lovers looking to shock their palates with something different.
