"A minerally red, with a thread of spice weaving through the plumped cherry and crushed mulberry fruit flavors. Medium- to full-bodied, featuring muscular yet well-knit tannins and fresh acidity. Aromatic tea leaf and citrus notes linger on the finish. Best from 2020 through 2027."
91 Points - Wine Spectator, October 2019
"Sliced strawberries with clove and floral aromas and some lava notes. Full body, firm, silky tannins and a chewy texture. Shows intensity and focus. Drink or hold."

Tenuta di Fessina is a relatively new winery, first established in 2007 by Silvia Maestrelli. Just after 13 years, she is now considered one of the most successful producers of the Etna area and a pioneer in the world of modern Sicilian viticulture. She is, no doubt, the heart and femininity of her wines.
Why are these wines getting so much buzz? Volcanic soils account for only 1 percent of the world’s surface but contribute a much larger percentage of the world’s great vineyards.
Ash-enriched soil is also responsible for smoky, earthy reds born in the shadow of Sicily’s Mount Etna; they have captivated adventurous wine lovers looking to shock their palates with something different.
