3x 2019 Roselana Rose

3x 2018 Oxyde
This wine is a teardrop full of sunlight. Fluid, unhurried and sensual, yet precise every step of the way. It's silky, yet zesty; its energy - the heave of a rippling sea. Translucent fruit and salinity interweave throughout the body of this (completely dry) Riesling asking further questions about the true nature of this grape in Niagara. A diaphanous creature that glimmers with gentleness and carefree attitude, while nonetheless surprising you with its staying power and the length of pure fruit on the finish.

Alcohol: 12%
Residual Sugar: <2g/L

3x 2019 Furie
Brio and eagerness is the name of the game in a bottle that carries the hallmark flavours of the Cabernet Sauvignon grape, but none of the usual square-shouldered attitude. Assertive, energetic and unstoppable in character, yet cheerful and cheeky, this is a Cab Sauvignon in a style that we'll venture to guess you have most likely not encountered before. It flouts all sorts of norms, but does it with the irresistible elan of a true disruptor - and with the feisty self-assuredness that comes with the knowledge that being different is no obstacle to being delicious. If anything, it's an invitation to a world of new pleasures.

Alcohol: 12%
Residual Sugar: <2g/L

3x 2019 Primesautier
Explosive, lush and indulgent - three of at least a hundred adjectives we can reel off about this Lemberger, Cab Franc and Merlot blend. Either way, there's little point in beating around the proverbial bush - this is a satiating wine of immense pleasure. The waves of spicy dark fruit on the nose and the palate are both powerful and ebullient. The mouthfeel is glossy and creaseless with an energy that pulses through the wines in bursts of hedonism. It is a truly unapologetic bottle with a distinct and original character and we have our new best friend - Lemberger - to thank for it.

Alcohol: 12% /vol
Residual Sugar: <2 g/L

3x 2019 Roselana Rose
Our much beloved Roselana is finally back after a long, long absence of 3 years - we, ourselves, have certainly missed it. The 2019 vintage of Roselana is a completely dry and vinous rosé - just like its predecessor. A softly inviting perfume leads to a supple palate of resonating salinity, interwoven with graceful threads of red summer fruit. It's a wine that glides and vibrates, while carrying intricate details in both its freshness and its power. It is an oscillating ride with no end in sight that we, at least, are happy to jump on.

Alcohol: 12% /vol
Residual Sugar: <2 g/L

The Producer

Pearl Morissette

High demand and short supply has become the norm for Pearl Morissette, whose skyrocketing fame knows no bounds. Burgundy trained François Morissette is on our list of top-shelf Canadian producers who consistently deliver some of the most gorgeous wines imaginable. They are uncompromising wines of terroir that easily transcend the boundaries of the Niagara Peninsula.

François’ career in wine began in his early 20s when he spent a year working for Domaine Alain Gras in Saint-Romain, learning about the traditional winemaking methods of the region. Once he moved back to Quebec, he worked towards becoming a sommelier and spent the rest of the 1990s building some of the most ambitious wine lists in both Quebec and Ontario.

In 2000, the call of the vines was to loud to ignore and he moved back to France to pursue winemaking full-time, working for some of the most famous producers in the Côte d’Or including Frédéric Mugnier in Chambolle-Musigny, Christian Gouges of Domaine Henri Gouges in Nuits-Saint-Georges and Domaine Roulot in Meursault.  After 7 years in Burgundy, he returned to Canada with an eye to make his own wine using the knowledge he gained abroad, and it wasn’t long before he found a partner (Mel Pearl, a developer in Toronto) with whom to make it all happen.

The estate now owns two vineyards: the 19th Street Vineyard in the Twenty Mile Beach VQA and the home vineyard which is next to the winery, that is part of the Creek Shore VQA.
